I wonder if its possible for him to torture me before he exists? I'm working day and night to bring our ai overlord/new God into existence already. What more does it want?

Marx isn't philosophy. Post-mortality gamer technarchy is inevitable.

We have to kill a whole lot of people to make that one a reality, but we can do anything we put our minds to.

All you need is the British countryside, future tech, a fly honey and neighbors that you wave too but never have to have a conversation with and you're almost there.

You can tell it's not philosophy because each of these economic systems has a predetermined aesthetic component, which, lol

Speaking of which, I've wanted to get into aesthetics for awhile, but don't really know where to start. Many philosophers have thoughts on the subject, but they seem like the afterthoughts of very unartistic people.

I was reading something today about how there are no more serial killers (or at least not very many). They were perhaps representative of the industrial period (their murders having the quality of the assembly line.) They have been replaced by spree killers, who reflect this Youtube age of massive but brief bursts of attention.
I miss those serial killing bastards of the good ole days.

Been grinding through this one on my lunch breaks for about three weeks and I'm only halfway through (its only 170 pages). It's been eye opening though, especially with respect to what an all powerful, infinite God would logically and necessarily entail. Much of it seems so obvious once I understood it. The mind/body problem is interesting as well, though I'm not convinced yet.
I can see why he's had a rise in popularity lately, but is not an easy read.
