If it’s cold in Chicago, the Field Museum and Museum of Science and Industry are both great. Also the Shedd Aquarium.
And stop at the Mars Cheese Castle between Milwaukee and Chicago to break up the drive.

Make sure to take the boys for some frozen custard in Milwaukee. A visit isn’t complete without it: https://www.seriouseats.com/where-to-ge ... -wisconsin
PS - Kopp’s has awesome burgers, onion rings, food in general.

Re: MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL, MILWAUKEE, CHICAGO
Current plan is to fly to MPLS, take Amtrak from there to MKE and again from MKE to CHI and then fly home from CHI.
And not rent a car. I think there’s enough with shuttles and obvi ubers, it could make the trip a little more unique for the kids riding buses and trains and such.

Ah yeah, forgot no car. Amtrak between MKE and CHI is the way to go anyway, especially since the Kennedy will probably still by under construction.
Stay in River North instead of The Loop if you can. More going on in walking distance.

No travel forum so posting here instead
Debate here about how stupid the mods are and why they keep merging everything into one thread and won’t create a subforum … but we have hundreds of star wars threads.
