She sangs on a song on The Eddy soundtrack.

Cool piano slow burn jazzy type of song.

BAM had a virtual gala tonight because they couldn't do their usual in person event. Obviously.

St. Vincent performed New York. Just her and a guitar. It was so gorgeous. As much as I've loved that song since first listen, it really took on new meaning and significance tonight. Of course I cried. The performance was everything.

That was quite a performance. I hadn't heard that song in a long time and forgot how striking I find it whenever I do.

I'm glad they decided to put that up! Originally BAM said it was a Livestream only performance and they wouldn't include it later. But the performance is so captivating that more people deserve to see it. :luv:

"I felt I had gone as far as I could possibly go with angularity. I was interested in going back to the music I’ve listened to more than any other—Stevie Wonder records from the early ’70s, Sly and the Family Stone. I studied at the feet of those masters,” according to Stereogum.

Yeah, I'm intrigued by this. My favorite St. Vincent songs -- "Strange Mercy," "Cruel," "Severed Crossed Fingers" -- have always had just a touch of this in them, I will be curious to see if these comments mean what I hope they will mean.
