I actually wasn't a fan. It's a cool concept but actually playing through it was pretty dull. Too much showing and narrative funneling, not enough interacting and choosing.

Totally agree. The Last of Us is the apex of these story heavy type games.

The Witcher is one of those games where you intend to only complete 1 quick sidequest and the next thing you know its 2.5 hours later and you did a dozen things. That's the sign of a great game. It sucks me in each time I play it.

Fallout 3 always did that to me. That game was fucking massive.

I've just started Fallout New Vegas but I'm playing the psycho killer route. It's quite refreshing after playing the good guy path in F3.

I finally had a chance to play a lot of the Witcher 3 over the weekend. Man this game is gigantic. Finally made it into a big city and i'm around 10 or so hours into the game and haven't scratched the surface. This game absolutely dwarfs Skyrim, and all the fallout games. So much to do. Great quests so far.

Someone describe the combat in Witcher 3? What game(s) does it resemble?

I was gonna try Witcher 3 until I found out it had weapon deterioration. Fuck that shit.

i have a very low tolerance for grindy/game-y/busy work bullshit like this in games. i know i will just be annoyed and wind up hating the game. that was a big reason why i hated fallout 3
