I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

i still seem to find it more tragic than comedic though

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
He was high as fuck when he wrote season 5. He's talked at length about how he thought it was his best work when he wrote most of it. But then filming it he realized it was kinda dumb with some major highlights. I think that's a big part of why he's reluctant to do a 6th season. He feels uninspired to tell the story and doesn't trust his instincts as they relate to that show and that character right now.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i didn't realize there were only 5 seasons, and 6 might not even happen

It is outstanding. Not that it matters, but Louie Anderson won an Emmy for it.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:no, but from what little i know about it i'm intriguedE.H. Ruddock wrote:Lenny, did you see the first season of Baskets?

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
And to be fair, I'm sure he's smoked during the writing/creative process of the whole series. I just read one long interview and listened to another where he talked a lot about season five and how disillusioned he felt by his own process.tragabigzanda wrote:Huh, hadn't heard this. I did hear about how he got super stoned and came up with a whole S5 concept in which he opened his own comedy club, but abandoned it once he got sober. But it sounds like he went back to the fountain for some more inspiration, so to speak.durdencommatyler wrote:He was high as fuck when he wrote season 5.
