Oh man, what is wrong with you guys? Ricky Gervais is awesome. I think Dave Chappelle is the best of our time, but Ricky is up there. And both would have made a more clever joke that would probably have been much worse. Not sure what Ricky would do, but it'd be interesting to see Chappelle's reaction if Smith went at him.

Does this mean your view on stand up comedy as a whole is in need of an overhaul, then? Like, comedians shouldn't make any offensive jokes towards people any more? I feel like this is at least 50% of stand up comedy, just wondering where it goes from here.

Honestly I don't really like standup comedy in general but my dislike of Ricky Gervais goes beyond that -- I've actually never seen him do standup, I just find him extremely irritating
