point is. My record cases are beginning to warp a little. WTF? The records are fine (for now) but its like the sleeves are starting to shift a bit. Its not like they are getting rained on
True, strat, but with the window open, there's going to be a temperature shift between day and night. Get those puppies out of there!

Kevin Davis wrote:I have endless respect for SNC, but he's off the mark on this one. El-P has a liquid-fire flow and an awareness of formal structure that would make a poetry professor's head spin, and while Killer Mike gets through to me less often, when he really sinks his teeth in his fury is infectious. Like Kanye, the non-street-ness of their audience has no bearing at all on their raw talent.
As do I for you KD, in spades. I think my issue with the RTJ stuff, is that I had such high hopes for Killer Mike. And he seemed to be on a really interesting, outspoken trajectory post Outkast, doing records with Gucci and Jeezy and TI, and doing his own thing. Some of his records from around 06-08 are classics. He was a real street conscious and constructive artist who was making better songs than just about anyone out.

But it just seemed to fizzle out. And now it bums me out to see him become the poster boy for conscious rap via NPR and "indie" blogs. I just wished more Mike and don't care the trajectory he's taken. That's not to say I don't like Killer Mike, I always will. And even El-P to an extent. But I just wish people were going this nuts for That's Life or Can You Hear Me.

Does anyone have any of the new/newer Pink Floyd vinyl reissues? Curious if they are worth getting, or if it's better to go the older route.

the 2003 30th anniversary dark side of the moon reissue gets excellent reviews. beyond that, for the classic records (dark side, wall, wish you were here) that have been reissued recently and are ridiculously priced new at $40-50 you're better off finding decent used copies somewhere. division bell got a reissue, too, and because of the limited nature of the original pressing (which also was edited to fit on 1lp) your only real option for that one would be the reissue.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

That 2003 Dark Side is a great pressing--and can be found on the cheap, too.

+1 on the anniversary edition.

I have the 30th anniversary edition of DSOTM on 180g pressed in the EU. It was clearly superiour to my old 70's pressing which needed to be replaced. It's an album that I go to quite a bit because it suits the format so well, so I did some research before buying it.

For the Wall and WYWH I have 70's pressings that I'm very happy with and didn't bother researching.
