Wasn’t expecting that. Nice little twist.

But fuck this show is just miserable

I'm disappointed with the season too; feels like not much has happened. It was so promising after some strong Whisper episodes the year before.
There hasn't even been a good walker sequence in a while.

They have too many goddamn storylines which means they end up dragging everything out. Its gotten so fucking old at this point.

Btw, that guy eating the sandwich deserves an Emmy. He showed more emotion in that 15 seconds than most of the cast does all year.

I don't think this half season has been nearly as bad as some of your are saying, I can see the gripes, the last episode was a mess and left alot of open plotholes. I didn't think the whisperer war would go to after the mid season break, But I guess it will.

The full body skin? Did they say it in this last ep?

It was Dante's. They didn't say it though.

I'm guessing Alpha doesn't bite it until the end of the season. But as to who does it...there are so many that are deserving. Carol being first in line I say. Negan could redeem himself by killing Alpha. They could swerve us all and have Lydia do it.
But then, there was this...

In comics, Alpha dies before Whisperer War. Some Commonwealth roles have been cast. They have a lot to wrap up - Alpha, Beta, Whisperers, Michonne's exit, Maggie's reintroduction. Plus, they plan on introducing Commonwealth this season. So what I'm saying is, they need to get moving on these (good) plot points.

An expanded episode and the midseason finale so I felt like something would happen.
But it never did.
I had higher hopes for the first half of the season but will keep watching at least until the Whisperers storyline is resolved. After that I will probably go back to recording it and then just fast forwarding through the non-walker scenes.

Gabriel going Wolverine on Dante came outta nowhere.

I'm interested in this army base.. is Rick there? Is this how Michonne exists?

That was the dumbest decision they've ever made and completely out of character for most of them. Running head first into a cave in the whisperer territory?

Lol.

Yeah, that was a clumsy way to get all the principles out of the way.

So word around the campfire is that Michonnes last ep is 10x12, and she won't be appearing until then. And its just under 3 freaking months until the next ep,

For her to just sail away with a stranger would have been a weird way for her storyline to finish. I was definitely expecting more of a build up to her departure.
