I was mildly disappointed when it was announced Jeff Parker wasn't going to be playing on this run of shows, but I needn't have worried.

Just found out Mark Hennessy is performing Paw songs with friends at Record Bar in KC June 26th. It’s a long drive to see a guy I’m not sure can still sing, but Dragline is one of my favorite albums ever, and I never saw Paw so I’ve gotta go.

i went to see fear factory at a small venue and made a decision i was gonna attempt to mosh like it was 2001, rather than stand in a confined space near the sound desk with a beer like i have been the last 20 years.

i managed to get near the front with similar minded morons, it was very fun and although i was sore the next day, i felt better than the usual concert where i would normally stand mostly still for hours on a concrete floor. it was the most fun ive had at a show in a long time.

I don't go to many shows, maybe one a year. I'll happily spend $45 to see Kurt Vile in July. New album is my speed.

It'll be my first time. I'm so pumped.

she is really cool live. These recent pop up shows were different, it was her and a guitar player playing her new songs with some other stuff, but everything was acoustic it seems.

I saw her with her full band and loved it.

Hopefully the new album will come out soon and can give us a different sound than Punisher.

I spent $25 seeing Phoebe Bridgers in 2018, and $32 in 2021. I logged into her presale for Chicago yesterday and saw premium pricing for $510 seats, which is more than I spent on Taylor Swift tickets in 2023 when I saw Phoebe Bridgers and the rest of Boy Genius open. No way. I'm out.

Her no phones policy is stupid. I get "old man yells at cloud" vibes from any artist that makes a thing out of that.

i can understand that perspective, but i also imagine being an artist and after every performance you have thousands of LQ uploads of your show on youtube, and i wouldn't like that either. also the audience is probably much more present

I love the whole no phones stuff. Be present, fuck phones, fuck photographs. Leave that anxiety for a moment and actually listen to the music.

I can totally see a bunch of artists going this way in the future.
