Man I really hope we have three legit 4-star songs left on this album. That would be fantastic.

We could have four: MFS, Pendulum, Infallible and Yellow Moon.

FWIW the little bit of ed playing future days on the film, sounded way better than I expected.
(And better than the record version knowing our luck)

It seems that on the Wrigley version of FD, Ed's playing is overly simplified because he also has to sing over it. But on the record, assuming it's double-tracked, we should have something more beautiful and intricate like on the EPK.

Ok I just went crazy and got a bunch of new albums to hold me over til this leaks.

I just got the new Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Empire Of The Sun, Avenged Sevenfold, Nine Inch Nails, The Darkness, Phoenix, Kings of Leon, Kurt Vile, Drake, Yeezus and 2 Chainz.

This should be able to hold me! I should have done this weeks ago...

Lightning Bolt will be my first music purchase since 2010. Spotify is what is holding me over.

For what it is worth:
Getaway: 3.5/5
Mind Your Manners: 3.75/5
Sirens: 4.5/5
Lightning Bolt: 4/5
Swallowed Whole: 5/5
Let the Records Play: 2/5
Sleeping by Myself: Uke is maybe a 3. I don't see the full version doing much for me
Future Days: Honestly haven't listened to it in a few weeks. Could fall anywhere from a 2-4 depending on the studio

Infallible
My Fathers Son
Pendulum
Yellow Moon
I just need one of these to 5 star it for me to be completely satisfied with this album. The reviews all make me think they are in the 4-5 range. I hope so.

Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about LTRP? I mean, like what you like obviously, but just curious. Most people on this board that hate it call it generic or say it sounds like something else.

I like it and think if it was a B-side, it would be more accepted. I love the hook and like Stip said, it's the way to do a "fun" song without it being disposable.

I'd like it as a B-side. I think it's kind of disposable, and I don't feel that way about many PJ songs. I actually think I enjoy Supersonic more.

Out of the above...

Getaway: 4.5
MYM: 3.5
Sirens: 4
Lightning Bolt: 3.5
Swallowed Whole: 4
LTRP: 3

I'm trying to be restrained. If you add three more legit 4-star tracks to the above, we really have a solid album.

The first track is great. But the second "R U Mine?" is even better. Holy Shit! And the new Franz is fantastic as well.
