Put the vinyl at the beginning and talk to Mary.

Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about LTRP? I mean, like what you like obviously, but just curious. Most people on this board that hate it call it generic or say it sounds like something else.

I like it and think if it was a B-side, it would be more accepted. I love the hook and like Stip said, it's the way to do a "fun" song without it being disposable.
Overall it's fine. I don''t find it disagreeable or anything but it is just too clean. I want songs like this dirty and sleezy . I enjoy it more than the 2 from the bridge on.

Italian review here: http://www.rockol.it/recensione-5429/pe ... tning-bolt

Pendulum and Infallible are both credited to Ament/Gossard/Vedder
Some lyrics from Infallible: By thinking we’re infallible/We are tempting fate instead
Some from Pendulum: Easy come and easy go/ Easy left me a long time ago
My Father's Son is Jeffs. Some lyrics from it : From the moment I fail/I call on DNA/Why such betrayal? /I gotta set sail

I'm puzzled by the date on that puppy... May 29 2013?
If that's accurate, it's amazing this hasn't found it's way to the internets.
Plus, I assume "Seq5" means sequence 5. I'm wondering how the other versions would play and I haven't even heard the full version of the sequence they picked. I am losing my mind.

Getaway: 4.5

Lightning Bolt: 3.5
Swallowed Whole: 4
LTRP: 3

I'm trying to be restrained. If you add three more legit 4-star tracks to the above, we really have a solid album.

I am at

MYM: 4.5
Lightning Bolt: 4.5

(those could each go higher or lower. MYM certainly won't be lower than a 4. It is past the new song glow. Lightning Bolt won't be below a 4, but might not sustain 4.5. Of course the clean copy could take it even higher.

Everything else is at a 3.5 Nothing will drop below a 3. They could all make their way to a 4. not sure if they'd go higher. I am trying to be conservative. It's hard to control for new album excitement. Swallowed Whole is the most likely to make the jump to a definite 4. Sirens is the one I like listening to the most but it's Sirens, so I still have a hard time scoring it.

Shit, did jeff write the lyrics?

I am expecting Pendulum, Infallible, Lightning Bolt, and Mind Your manners to be my 4 favorites.

I can totally relate. Maybe if PJ wrote more schlock ballads I'd have something to compare it with...

It's too hard not to play:

Getaway: 4
Mind Your Manners: 3.5
Sirens: 4/5
Lightning Bolt: 4/5
Swallowed Whole: 3.5/5
Let the Records Play: 3/5

Conceivably MYM, Sirens, LB, and Swallowed Whole could all see half-point jumps.

I think so far we have 3 4 star reviews (out of 5, presumably) and a 7/10

The MFS lyrics look kinda rhymy but apparently its kinda weird too so maybe it fits.

I have a niggling suspicion that lyrics are going to be infallibles down fall. I hope not.

Maybe we can get him to just sing Arc-style all over it and avoid that catastrophe.

I hope to all fuck that they start again and I hope they do it with sirens.

Mikes solo is too short and it could be really epic live if they gave it some space and some more balls in a live setting.

I mean it has balls aplenty but live they could make it have big hairy deadly balls.

Thatd be so great if they did
I hope they can make some time to read this whole thread 8-)
