Re: What movies are you watching?
Spike Lee Joints I've seen:
1. She's Gotta Have It
2. Do The Right Thing
3. Summer of Sam
4. 25th Hour
5. Inside Man
6. Miracle at St. Anna
7. BlacKkKlansman
8. Da 5 Bloods
So I still have a lot of stuff to dive into. I've missed a lot. Still, I'd rank him among my all-time favorite filmmakers. Just that body of work above is enough to canonize the man.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I have a strong feeling that I'm going to love Chi-Raq. Loved the trailer. Love Lee's overall aesthetic in general. Love the play it's inspired by. Love theater and theatricality in film. I'm going in with pretty high expectations.

An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn.
Man, I'm on a real roll with these bizarre movies with great casts that I've never heard of somehow!

Oh yeah it's really straight. Mostly it's just a pretty good, well-acted biopic.

yeah i remember watching the directors cut and thinking the theatrical one was better.
I love everything about this movie. Everything. The final shot with Sonny going to the hospital is so good.

Force of Nature, cause Mel Gibson. What a waste of time.
