?? Sorry, what? Are you referring to the song or the album? If the former, then I'd just say that like most songs on the album, it's virtually indistinguishable from other popular music of its time, in that it has layers upon layers of drums and synths. The composition of the song is fine, nothing amazing (nor awful). But my real issue with it is how flat everything sounds. Just no life to the mix at all. Kick drums, hats, reverse reverbs, synths, wiry guitars, and processed vocals all come and go without ever once imparting a feeling of dynamic energy.

It's just a shitty mix. The whole album has a shitty mix.

Not Masseduction. Masseducation. It's basically the stripped down, piano version of Masseduction (the album).
