I notice that "LA Girls and Ocean Boys" became the lyric and melody that runs underneath the chorus of "Dangerbird".

Man, I love this version of "Everybody's Alone" from the Tonight's the Night sessions.

The "Zuma" outtakes are like a personal kiss on the balls from baby Jesus.

The electric "Ride My Llama" and "Hawaii" are maybe my two favorite tracks on this whole set.

I think I'm finally going to start listening to this tonight after dinner. I might go out of order based on people's reactions in here.

"Dume" (Disc 8) is possibly the best Neil Young conglomeration of all time.

Insanely good.

The "Ride My Llama" on here reminds me of "Crime on the City" on Weld -- a good but not quite-top tier song, originally presented acoustically, pressurized into this battering ram of a rock song that makes everything good about it even better. Fantastic.

In terms of songs being presented here for the first time I think my vote goes to "Born to Run." But right out of the gate I'm highest on the Zuma outtakes so I might just be listening to it more.

“Frozen Man” is another gem.

Dume was as advertised, but I think Disc 1 is great, too, now that I've circled back there. Love this version of LA.

When Archives Vol. III comes out in 2031 during the second Ivanka Trump administration, I hope we're all still in this thread to enjoy it together.

I tried to make a "best of" playlist on my NYA account, not including recordings from the proper albums, and it ended up being 37 songs. It's too good. The Old Homestead disc is so good it's really elevating my appreciation for Neil, and he's been my favorite artist for decades.

This is my second favorite version of "Greensleeves."
