The guy valued his privacy so much, he passed away 3 days ago and were just learning of it now. I'm sure a proper obit will be forthcoming. He was such an amazing musician.

Never got the band but his talent is immense and a great many of my friends are gonna be broken up about this.

It’s always extra sad when someone who found what they were put on earth to do leaves this plane. Not only did he create some of the most perfectly crafted drum lines rock music has ever heard, he wrote all the lyrics and influenced pretty much anyone who’s played drums since.
