Say what you want but it makes baseball more fun.
It absolutely does. And I'm definitely ok with it. But it still pisses me off sometimes.

How can anyone possibly cheer for Yordano Ventura?
There is a website that sells this shirt. I think they embrace the doucheyness. Which is weird.

What website?
http://www.bbbprinting.com

I have a couple shirts from there. Great quality.
I just ordered the one with George Brett's face on it.
HA. Nice.
always a good time to post this

Ripper Collins.

Man, the B-R play index is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me.

It turns out the vast majority of good Canadian players have been slugging leftfielders, which leaves me scrounging around for even a passable middle infield.

C Russell Martin
1B Joey Votto
2B Pop Smith
3B Corey Koskie
SS Frank O'Rourke
OF Larry Walker
OF Tip O'Neill
OF Jason Bay
1B Justin Morneau
3B Pete Ward
OF Jeff Heath
OF George Selkirk
OF Spud Johnson
OF Goody Rosen

SP Fergie Jenkins
SP Russ Ford
SP Rube Vickers
SP Win Kellum
SP Phil Marchildon
SP Kirk McCaskill

RP Eric Gagne
RP Jeff Zimmerman
RP Reggie Cleveland
RP Erik Bedard
RP Ryan Dempster

Gregg Jefferies or John Kruk would be a good fit at first. Both under 6 foot.

Surprised Pedro is not in your rotation.

Yes. Do this!

That is a damn solid bullpen. I loved me some Jeff Zimmerman. One of the best sliders I have ever seen.

I feel like my offense is going to lean heavily on Walker, Votto and O'Neill.

Votto may have to play some 3B to get Morneau into the lineup, too.

It would take a lot of research but a fun team would be players who were standouts at other sports. Obviously you have Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders. Joe Mauer and Carl Crawford would be up there.

LA Kings 4th round draft pick Tom Glavine.

Yep. Just remembered that!

Tecmo Bowl alum Brian Jordan.

Dave Winfield was drafted in all three major sports. Pretty incredible.

I would pass on Danny Ainge.

Bob Gibson, Mark DeRosa, Steve Garvey, Tony Gwynn, Mark Hendrickson, Todd Helton, Rich Rhoden, Ferguson Jenkins, Robin Roberts, Jackie Robinson, Frank Thomas, Jeff Samardzija, Dámaso García, etc

This team would not be too shabby.

Could you find enough players to set the cutoff at players who were either drafted or played professionally in another sport?

Hard to say off the top of my head. Again, would take a lot of research.

I did not know Fergie Jenkins was a Globetrotter until just now.

I've gotta come up with a category for this.

Every player on the team has to have a father, son, or sibling. And the father/son/sibling has to be on the team as well. I imagine that team could be pretty awesome just with Griffey/Bonds/Dimaggio.

Actually, that team would be packed with stars. Add Billy Ripken as a backup infielder to get Cal as the SS, the Boones give you a solid 3B/2B/C...
