Just finished 4. Yep.
I do yet I’ve committed to very few. I’ll check it out.durdencommatyler wrote:LMS, do you like True Crime pods in general? If so, thoughts on Someone Knows Something? Have we talked about that before?
They've done 5 seasons (or 5 cases). It's hit/miss. But this most recent one, the S5 case about Carrie Ann Brown is really captivating and I think worthy of your time. I'm only 2 eps into it but I really like it so far. I'd say start there and work backwards if you like that season/case.LetMeSleep wrote:I do yet I’ve committed to very few. Ep 5 makes me so sad and angry.durdencommatyler wrote:SO good. Eps 4 & 5 especially.
Me too. But it's great radio/journalism.LetMeSleep wrote:Ep 5 makes me so sad and angry.durdencommatyler wrote:SO good. Eps 4 & 5 especially.
Ep 6 got a bit too conversational and I disliked her for a bit. Then the lawyer put her in her place saying the law isn't personal.durdencommatyler wrote:Me too. But it's great radio/journalism.LetMeSleep wrote:Ep 5 makes me so sad and angry.durdencommatyler wrote:SO good. Eps 4 & 5 especially.
I'm glad they left that stuff in. Felt like it was good for a lot of people to hear, myself included.LetMeSleep wrote:Ep 6 got a bit too conversational and I disliked her for a bit. I can see that it was worthwhile to the episode. It just distanced me from the narrator.durdencommatyler wrote:I'm glad they left that stuff in. Totally. I think I agree with you. But that's also why I thought it was so impactful and important. There's a deeper meta-conversation to have about how we consume pods and what our attachment is as listeners to the narrator. This was a great way to have that conversation without having any kind of fight about it or making it the theme/focus of the episode.LetMeSleep wrote:I can see that it was worthwhile to the episode. I listen to rogan fairly regularly and I have no idea what you’re talking about.run2death wrote:I looked up centipede videos after listening to the latest Rogan-MJK podcast.
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
This was a good one. I’ve never really thought about character actors. They’re like the relief pitchers of stage and screen. The good ones stand out, but people seldom know their names.doug rr wrote:i rarely listen to them but really enjoyed driving home the other day listening to marc maron interview stephen root...
