Refs really need to stop falling for the falling.

I'm just glad I won't have to roll my eyes at Giannis getting away with 2 or 3 offensive fouls every single game anymore.

Re: NBA Thread
Thank you, Celtics! It had been so long since a Boston team had postseason success. I did enjoy this game being the least stressful of all the games in the series.

I was getting absurdly hyped last night for some reason. Boston will probably blow Miami's doors in tomorrow night but at the moment I'm very excited.Coach wrote:Bring it on, 4/5!

Haven't seen anything about it. Miami is pretty tight-lipped about that stuff. Guess we'll see later today with the injury report and Spo's interview at practice.Farmer John wrote:How's Lowry's hamstring?

I think that homecourt will help, though. Probably seven games.4/5 wrote:I was getting absurdly hyped last night for some reason. Boston will probably blow Miami's doors in tomorrow night but at the moment I'm very excited.Coach wrote:Bring it on, 4/5!

I think it'll go 6 or 7, edge to the Celtics. Celtics in 6 or Heat in 7 probably the most obvious predictions. I think both teams will probably trade blowouts/semi-blowouts the first 4 games, whoever hits their 3s wins. The latter part of the series I'd expect to become very defensive, close, hard fought games.Coach wrote:I think that homecourt will help, though. Re: NBA Thread
I can see Boston losing a close one tomorrow night due to less rest and coming from a much more demanding series. That being said, I don't think the Heat have the scoring juice or health to beat the Celtics right now. Should be another very physical series.

Re: NBA Thread
Yeah I'm definitely worried that the Celtics will just shut down Miami's offense and as good as Miami's defense is, it's not quite as good as Boston's. My hope is that the Celtics defense is especially great against teams with a clear primary scorer and other guys that can be ignored. Miami doesn't quite fit that mold as well as Brooklyn and the Bucks without Middleton so I'm *hoping* that having lineups where all 5 guys can score can help offset some of that. As well as Miami being a good passing team.
I could easily see this being a nightmare series for Herro specifically, though.

Re: NBA Thread
I am picking Boston over Miami in six games. Here's why:
Miami won the previous two ECF matchups, so odds are that it's time for Boston to win one. Tatum and co. looking to avenge the 2020 loss.
Heat aren't great from behind the 3-point line.
Boston's defense.
Conspiracy Theory: Boston has more stars and NBA will use its refs to help them out.
I'll probably have more to come, injuries evolve...Smart was in a boot after that Bucks game.

I feel like Spo is doing a great and underrated job with the Heat. They’re playing great defense.
I like this young Celtics team too though and they’ve been very good on both ends. I hope it goes 7.
I’m intrigued on how coaches strategy will effect this series and whether Al Horford has another 30+ point game in him.

Re: NBA Thread
I have no idea how the Mavs/Warrior series will go. Might have a lot of variance with the volume of 3s.
