Which is too bad because she is generally phenomenal in her acting. I enjoyed her in this but everyone else dragged her down

We Summon The Darkness.

So much fun, violent, stupid and well shot. Alexandra Daddario is a goddess and is wonderful.

I don't know why it posted two tweets, I only meant to share the bottom one, but this is something I'd personally noticed--there's a ton of garbage movies on every streaming platform and so many of them are recent. I want to watch old garbage, goddamnit!

netflix is the most frustrating in this regard...85% of their original content looks completely uninteresting to me

Another great Mike Flanagan movie. Kate Bosworth is wonderful.

My ranking of his movies

1-Oculus
2-Hill House
3-Dr Sleep
4-Ouija:Origin Of Evil
5-Before I Wake
6-Gerald´s Game
7-Hush
8-Absentia

I wanna watch Hush again.

Netflix is awful. Once NBC pulls the office and parks and rec they'll have nothing to offer. I'm yet to find a Netflix original that wasn't garbage.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Russian Doll, The Irishman, Bojack Horseman... there are a few really good ones, but still doesn't negate the fact that 90% of their content is straight-up trash

Netflix isn't trying to find a niche. It's not like Thursday night is goofy comedy night on NBC. The CW is for teens. CBS is for seniors. Fox Searchlight focuses on mid-budget prestige films. Netflix is doing all of that because it wants all of those viewers. It has Oscar contenders, whacky comedies, high-brow dramas, stuff for teens, stuff for kids, everything. And I think it does a relatively good job of putting the programming that they made for people in my demographic on my screen so I can find it. Trying to watch everything is not the point.
But Mindhunter, Russian Doll, Stranger Things, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Flaked, Glow, and the first season of Bloodline are all good/great TV programs. I would put that line-up up against any other network over the last five years and it would contend.

Only saw the first season of Daredevil, and it kinda took me forever, and it was boring. Jessica Jones, only saw the first season, loved it. Never saw any of the other stuff.

Flaked was fun, specially the first season.
