Do you not talk about scenes in films that you either enjoyed or didn't, VinylGuy?

If someone is interested in getting a Ph.D. in "Over Analyze Everything," you can use this thread as your thesis.

New Rule for RM:

You will only heavily critique or analyse things that I don't like either.

You see? It's not at all contrived if you ended up thinking he looked hot.

Cue Eddie and Laird in his truck playing Big Wave...
What, that looked good did it?
No, it was another awkward self-excited moment caught on tape and put forth to the masses. At least Getaway is a decent song.

And that goofy dancing is exactly what he does on stage anyway.

It's lamer when you consider the option that that sequence was probably was entirely planned out lol.
Goofy dancing as spontaneous gig thing can be forgiven. They actually planned this, though. It was like a scene which was deliberated over. It's staged and contrived.
They probably planned the accidental music, i dont think they decided 'and then, we dance'. They could have taken it out or they could have said 'Ed you sucker, we're leaving the dorky dancing in muahaha'.

They know they don't look cool here lol.

More contrived to me are the cool blurry shots of ed lookin all cool and shit

Image

'just stand there for a second ed, no! no smiling'

Nice sunglasses though.
That's a good thought. I like the idea that they know they don't look cool. Perhaps my laughter reaction was the one they intended
Someone said this earlier but we constantly assume a band that has spent 20 years recording themselves, appearing on magazine covers, being talked about, etc. is shockingly unself aware. The other possibility is that we keep missing the joke
