Yeezus is basically a Skinny Puppy album with rapping, so you should start there.
Shit, this is pretty good.

I can’t tell if this is a trick question.
Anyway: Yeezus.

Of course as everyone else is jumping ship, what he’s getting at is becoming clearer to me. I think he’s severely misguided with the MAGA stuff and I still think “Ye vs the People” is shit, but I’m coming back around.

All of the possibilities are bad:
- If he’s in a breakdown he’s responsible at this point for refusing treatment, something he admitted to doing in a recent interview, when he has all the resources available to him that a person can have and plenty of people, myself included, deal with mental health issues without doing things like this in any way, shape or form
- If he genuinely believes the things he’s saying then he’s showing a real flip from the message of his past work and has ruined his reputation as a forward-thinking artist who was one of the first major rappers to ever speak out against homophobia and has railed against the private prison system, racial profiling and injustice for years
- If he’s simply too uneducated on the matters then that’s extremely dangerous because it’d mean he can be led anywhere to support anything and is willing to stand by an administration like Trump’s with no information at all. He’s a wealthy as fuck adult and has every ability to be informed before taking a stance.
- If it’s all publicity, I consider it the worst possible one, because it would mean he has completely sold out as an artist ad as a human being to trade in any sort of ethics he has ever held to make a quick buck when he’s already rich as fuck and to do it by emboldening and supporting a movement and administration that does not care about black people being murdered by the police and in turn it would mean he is profiting off of encouraging those attitudes by supporting those groups. People can be misinformed and evolve and people’s views can change, and if he’s honestly too impressionable or misinformed those things could swing positively in another direction, but if this is all self-aware then he’s sold his soul completely

I think a lot of this is people not understanding what he’s actually trying to say, and attacking the sensational bullet points without listening to the nuance. Also, Kanye is not a good communicator.

I just find his whole album promotion shtick exhausting. Even if all of this is performance art and some very sophisticated critique of societal groupthink and the current demand for artists to be politically woke I still find it off-putting. It makes me not want to listen to his new stuff because it feels like I'd be rewarding his behavior that I don't like. When he tweeted that he was dropping a solo album and an album with Cudi I was excited. That's all I needed to want to hear it. But everything that he's done since has been unbearably obnoxious.

but its weird because Stip hates a lot of very good PJ songs. I think LV´s fandom is bigger.

His taste in home decor is the only thing I find offensive. Who would want to live like that?

It reminds me of THX 1138, but everything is beige.
