Going to start getting quotes on adding some stair railings, replacing old closet doors, etc.

I’d rather just move though. Our current place’s layout isn’t great with a kid.

Are you guys out of the freezing night temps already?
Dammit. No, we are not.
yeah i had a hunch this was a bad call. Strawberries and peppers should be fine. Peas are probably toast. No idea on the flowers.

going to replace an outdoor gfi on the front porch, and a puck light in the kitchen.

i'm far from a handy person, but i've watched a few videos, and it looks simple enough that i'd save myself the $200 service call for an electrician to come out and fix the two.

if i don't post after today it's because i'm dead.

I may try and hang the light fixture in our bedroom correctly today. The previous owner just had it hanging from a hook in the ceiling and we’re tired of there being a big hole in the ceiling to look at.

i'm alive, and the outlet and puck light have been replaced.

the puck light...man, what an arm and shoulder workout.

anyway, feels good to get it done, and know i can do it, and save myself a couple hundred bucks in the process.

Sunny and in the 80s here today with no humidity and a light breeze. Planted vegetables, netted the blueberry bushes and peach tree, pressure washing the pool deck and leveling some retainer bricks around a garden out front. Will sleep well tonight.

I spent last weekend leveling ground for a small patio extension in our backyard. Nothing major, just a 9'x5' rectangle to set a few chairs on. Took about 3 hours all told. I was going to go all out and use some bricks, but ended up finding these snap tiles from IKEA that were a lot easier.

I got this beautiful piece of furniture recently and I'm absolutely loving it. It's from the 60's. I got it dirt cheap too and could easily sell it for double the price I bought it for, but I'm never selling this one.
