2009 was a pretty shaky year for Ed. After a stellar 2006/2007, his singing noticeably suffered 2008/2009 for whatever reason.

Luckily, 2012 onwards he's been pretty consistent. He's loads better now than he was in 2009.

agreed. that was a really weird overall era for EV in general. vocal struggles, hairline struggles, that awkward mic stand back bend...

yeah, plus he noticeably put on a little weight and pufffed up in the face. maybe he was on some medication of some kind. bad health wouldn't have helped his performances. he seemed to healthy up again in 2010.

was that around the time he injured his back and hand, and had to go through a lot of therapy to be able to play guitar again?

2008 was the first year of Ed singing really really off. I think 2009 got better and 2010 not so good.

From 2011 to this day, he is pretty much great.

That huuuge tour in 06 might have done some permanent damage. Maybe that’s one of the reasons they don’t do those massive ones anymore.

Didn't help that the majority of songs on that album stretch his range.

The last great tour (yet, anyway). There was a sense of purpose and focus to those shows that they've yet to recapture. Very glad I was able to see them twice that year.

The band sound great and I was disappointed that the album version didn't sound as heavy as it did here.

Thank you.
They're sound much much better without Boom, i'm just wishing they get rid of him already.

Liked Matt's drumming there, so much passion and energy. :luv:

I don't think Boom's ever played on Got Some, though.

It's not as though he plays on everything.

Yeah, i know.
I was referring to the RitfW performance. There were another show, can not remember right now which one , a jimmy kimmel show? They have been playing w/o Boom and sounded great.

Show Source: Sony Australia promo cd

This is the prefered sonically source for the famous Atlanta radiobroadcast, an abridged version of this set was officially released on the three official "Dissident" compact disc maxi-singles, missing the yet-to-be-released "Vitalogy" tracks "Whipping", "Better Man" and "Satan's Bed" and the Dead Boys cover "Sonic Reducer".

This promotional 2CD set is missing most of the introduction track "An Ending (Ascent)" and most of the dead airs and speeches between songs.

This source is the promotional 2xCD set released in Australia by Epic Records (includes 26 remastered tracks without "An Ending (Ascent)" for a total of 123 minutes) which can be completed by other sources to get the unedited concert.

The duration of the complete unedited concert is 151 minutes (for 26 tracks), but most radiobroadcasts, promotional sets or bootleg releases are missing the introduction track, some speeches and dead airs, and sometimes even tracks (usually the last three played after "Once").
