Mixed bag of an episode. Of course the Supreme Court leak was the subject of the open and a large part of Update. Benedict Cumberbatch was in nearly every sketch and clearly having a blast. The sketches themselves were hit or miss at best though.
I really liked Arcade Fire’s first two songs; they got a rare third one over the goodbyes but that one was noticeably rough. The 1973 shirts several cast members wore at the end were a reference to Roe v Wade.

The season finale is the 21st but no host or music guest announced yet.
Since my wife can't go, I hope it's no one she wants to see!
Bad Moms reunion / Alanis Morisette just confirmed.

Natasha Lyonne and Japanese Breakfast are the host and guest next week. Seems more like midsession doldrums pairing instead of the year ender.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Forgettable, I wouldn’t go as far as “awful” but nothing stood out.

Rumor is Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant and Kyle Mooney are all leaving after this season. Cecily and Keenan are up in the air

Mooney is the only one on that list would be even a mild surprise.
I would think this would be the most season to season turnover in years though.
