So the Russia report has just been published and it looks like it actually has some teeth when it comes to interference in Brexit and their last elections. Including the Scottish independence referendum
The gist of it is the British government were aware of it but didn’t want to investigate it in case they found evidence of it.
And upper echelons of British MPs and high society have been so thoroughly absorbed Russian billionaires and oligarchs Into London high society everyone basically looked the other way Cos So many of them were benefitting from their relationships with those oligarchs.
Worth reading on it.

Most of the newly announced efforts are investigatory rather than crowd control, and Kansas City law officials were baffled by Barr’s claim that they’d had 200 arrests there already (it would require 50 a day, since they’ve been there 4 days, and they only know of one). I remain hopeful that this is a political display, meant to show a law and order (trademark) presidency and scare the small towners who can be convinced of any old bullshit about cities. But we will need to watch this closely.

If the FBI end up actually doing any investigating in Chicago, all that will result is a whole bunch of 18 USC Section 1001 charges and maybe some borderline entrapment thrown in. Do they know how to do anything else?
If they could help clear homicides, then great, but that seems unlikely.

I think he incorrectly believes that fearmongering about inner city violence and positioning himself as The One Who Will Stop It is his path to scaring and then winning back suburban moms.
