She Dies Tomorrow.
Super stylish, filled with great moments and lots of what the fuck is happening ones. Amy Seimetz is such a force. I love her work in Atlanta specially and she bring a lot of that weirdness here.

Watching Kumiko the Treasure Hunter the other day got me revisiting the entirety of the Zellners' oeuvre. I keep forgetting how much I love their stuff. Goliath up next

Skyfall. Beautiful looking movie, and a very good Bond. Not as good as Casino, but still real good.

The Rental.
Super fun. Violent. Very well shot. Great casting.
I finished the unofficial ¨actors directing horror¨ trilogy then. Three great movies.

It was okay. Some of the monologues/scenes were really wonderful, Keitel was incredible, and you can see the roots of Goodfellas in there, but it dragged at times and was about 20 minutes too long.

THANK YOU! My ex and I were going to see this years ago but then we broke up and in the chaos of it all I forgot the title and have never been able to come close to remembering it. It's been driving me nuts.

Goodfellas is a long movie but it's not "too long" in the way that Mean Streets is too long (a bit meandering). MS lacks a bit of the constant high-intensity that the best Scorsese films have.

Watched a bunch of stuff over the last few days. Most of it was stuff I'd seen before but not in a decade or more (such as: A Mighty Wind, Josie and the Pussycasts, Clueless). But I watched Moana for the first time. It was good, not great. But the visuals were outstanding. What a beautiful looking film.
