Their criminal history merely establishes a tendency towards high time preference/ low executive function. Impulsive people acting impusively in a fraught situation = bad outcome.
Why did Rosenbaum think it was a good idea to try to take the kids gun? Probably the same thought process involved with the previous criminal acts that led to his conviction. I don't believe any National Merit scholars were shot that night.
On the topic of skateboards, there have been a few skate/ snowboarders in the news recently. Do these activities disproportionately attract an anti-social element?

The brainwashing runs deep with this one.
I don't get why everyone needs to work so hard to justify what happened here either way. Seems like a classic when idiots collide situation to me. The sheriff was right when he said if you're not some moron out in the streets after curfew you don't have to worry about dying.
This unfortunately is not the least helpful thing his lawyer has done. His parents have done him a huge disservice with this... libel lawyer?
Yes, the parents' choice in lawyer was their HUGE disservice. Great point. Keep going.
Keep being angry about this kid if it makes you happy. His lawyer being terrible can't be a point of conversation because it might not give you that sweet rage spike.
Calmer than you are.
Lets set aside this strawman.
Like I said, great point. Keep going.
Your attempts to moderate this thread might be more effective if your understanding of the facts weren't so deficient.
Keep on subscribing to the newest version of Journolist run by Ezra Klein's lobotomied twin if you enjoy all of the outrage and none of the understanding.
haha, what? I don't read vox. And moderate? What's to moderate, this thread is operating perfectly.
It wouldn't take much to convince me that doing anything for this miserable country and its people is inherently stupid and as an egoist I already believe one definitely shouldn't sacrifice himself for these domesticated cattle, but at the same time, he's clearly not responsible for the deaths of a few idiots who thought they were bulletproof. In my utopia, he'd get off and get a medal for taking out the trash.

Then we must accept his authority as leader of the free world and do as he says. The God emperor's laws are inherently moral, and must be followed to the letter.
