they did say umpires were allowed to use replay to contact league offices to clarify rules that do not come up everyday
the Brewers had no pitching coach today, so the bullpen coach was in the dugout serving as pitching coach, and a minor league instructor was in the bullpen. After that I have no clue what was going on all I know is Will Smith came into pitch?

and it was well over 45 mins for that inning to finish after 4 pitching changes, 2 challenges, and a few hits, including an infield RBI double? just a strange strange "just when you thought youve seen it all" inning

That was a tough one being up 4-1 in the 7th.

If he doesn't get hurt again, Chris Sale is still on track to have a fantastic shot at it.

Five starts, 1.89 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, 39 Ks to just 7 BBs.

You've got to think considering what he did in his first start back (6 IP, 1 H, O ERs, 10 Ks, 0 BBs vs. the Yankees) that he's completely healed. Then again, his last start before he went on the DL (7 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 10 Ks, 3 BBs vs. the Red Sox) wasn't all that drastically different, so it's possible he's just that awesome regardless of how healthy he is.

Tanaka's ERA is in the 2s but it's still early in the season and his line looks fantastic. If he keeps it up he'll be in the conversation.

Tanaka's strikeout to walk ratio is over 9.

Yeah, but think about how Chris Russo says Tanaka's name and then try to tell me he's still gonna win the Cy Young Award.

I only ever hear Chris Russo's voice in promos that run on MLB Network. That's enough to infuriate me.

I try to listen to Lance Medow on the Mad Dog Sirius station whenever I'm in the car at night which means that my Sirius dial is usually set to that station and I'm often bombarded by Russo yelling about something insane when I start my car at any other hour of the day.

Ok, so I get that the Sox are frustrated because they kind of suck right now, but if you're going to leave third base completely open in a five run game, you probably shouldn't turn into a bunch of whiney little bitches when the opposing team decides to take the base you're offering them.

Meanwhile, the Jays just swept the best team in the majors and have won 11 of 13. Baseball is a whole lot of fun right now.

This Manny situation is most bizarre arrangement ever.

Tanaka is legit good, hitters might figure him out, but they still wont be able to hit that split finger and its nasty enough where ya cant lay off it.

Had a great time at the San Diego ballpark on Saturday night. Sat first row in the left field box seats, had a home run ball fly right over our heads, and met some extremely friendly regulars who loved to chat. It was also 1980s throwback weekend so every music cue was a cheesy 80s song, the Padres wore their old school brown unis, and we got free Gwynn shirts when we walked in. Can highly recommend this town for baseball!
