Because the graphics (and even the colours) were terrible in Fallout 3 were rubbish, but it was still an amazingly atmospheric and immersive game.

Fair point. However I'm pretty sure this game will be much larger on a geographical and story based scale, as well as many more enemies/characters/weapons/etc. I would be disappointed if this game isn't fucking ginormous.

Because the rest of the game is likely so incredible that no one will fucking care. There are lots of games with amazing graphics that are awful.

meh, it's a bit less than i would have expected but i wouldn't say they look like shit. the dog did look kinda shitty though. like others have said, this game is probably going to be massive so expecting flawless graphics on a game this large is probably unrealistic.
