I feel like your workload's increasing as more and more threads seem to require it.

Once again, I think we're done here.
You can be done. I'm going to stay tuned for more facts to come out. If his intent was to hurt people, he did a really shitty job! Here's what the uphill approach to that area looks like. He legit may not have seen them.

Again, had the police not intervened, it's pretty clear what was going to happen.
Not sure that it is, but it's definitely clear where your sympathies lie!

I don’t want to see people get hurt, but I also don’t sympathize with those whose idea of peaceful protest is shutting down freeways. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Yeah, the big problem here is that the road was closed.

Aren't we automating away truck drivers soon anyway? They'll end up on unemployment rolls, and then join the protests with everyone else.

As a Minnesotan and Minneapolis lover .... Mac doesn’t speak for all of us. Perhaps only a vocal minority.

However, as far as this truck driver is concerned ... at this point they’re not saying it was intentional. There are a shit ton of intersections freeways near this area and if they didn’t get the roads closed properly I would totally understand this happening.

Protestors should be allowed to march wherever the fuck they want.

I’m waiting to get more information on this driver before I become enraged.

Nobody was really hurt and at the time the truck got to the protestors they were mostly already split on both sides of the highway.

Some video caught by my friends in the area is totally frightening though. The aerial video shows that the driver did appear to be trying to slow down and stop as soon as he came upon the crowd

'US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi once called the violent protests in Hong Kong 'a beautiful sight to behold.'... US politicians now can enjoy this sight from their own windows,' Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of nationalist tabloid Global Times wrote on Saturday.

I’m proud of the thousands of people that have been protesting peacefully today. I’m hopeful that the violence is coming to an end. I support the peaceful protesters, including those breaking curfew in a peaceful way. I’m also thankful for the thousands of people that gathered and gave so much to feed and provide necessities to the people whose neighborhoods have been destroyed. This is the side of Minnesota and humanity I am very proud of, and we should all be glorifying and lifting up the good that comes out in times of great crisis. These are the true leaders and community healers. They come from all backgrounds, colors, and creeds. I’m very hopeful that the Twin Cities will be safe tonight, and in the coming days. I’m hopeful that meaningful change can happen and serious problems can be addressed and corrected. And I sincerely hope we can all recover from all of this.

Thank you for not rushing to judgment.

Though rumors of him videoing himself smiling while doing it are circulating around. And he is currently under arrest so there is probably something up...

An astute observer might be forgiven for thinking that assuming he was an innocent man who would have been nearly beaten to death by those protestors is also a case of "rushing to judgment."

We have no idea what the truth is with the truck driver. It’s been reported that he didn’t break any barriers. I have no idea if it was intentional or not. As Strat said, that area is a major interchange of several freeways and Minneapolis street on/off ramps. I can imagine several areas we being closed while several were still open. That’s absolutely possible. It’s also absolutely possible he had bad intentions, but if he did, why stop? I don’t know.

Regardless of whether it was intentional or not, it's a fucking miracle no one was killed, as is being reported. That video is terrifying.
