Not sure that it is, but it's definitely clear where your sympathies lie!macphisto wrote:You can be done. I'm going to stay tuned for more facts to come out. If his intent was to hurt people, he did a really shitty job! Here's what the uphill approach to that area looks like. He legit may not have seen them.Mickey wrote:Lmao you're going to rely on the argument that this driver was on the interstate for forty minutes after it closed but somehow didn't hear anything on the radio, and that although it was a clear spring day with high visibility, barreled towards to crowd, only stopping once he was in the middle of it, and that he sustained only minor injuries, and that despite all this, the incident is similar to a retaliatory attack on a driver in LA? Once again, I think we're done here.
Again, had the police not intervened, it's pretty clear what was going to happen.
I don’t want to see people get hurt, but I also don’t sympathize with those whose idea of peaceful protest is shutting down freeways. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.Mickey wrote:Not sure that it is, but it's definitely clear where your sympathies lie!macphisto wrote:You can be done. 'US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi once called the violent protests in Hong Kong 'a beautiful sight to behold.'... US politicians now can enjoy this sight from their own windows,' Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of nationalist tabloid Global Times wrote on Saturday.
Thank you for not rushing to judgment.Strat wrote:As a Minnesotan and Minneapolis lover .... Mac doesn’t speak for all of us. Perhaps only a vocal minority.
However, as far as this truck driver is concerned ... at this point they’re not saying it was intentional. There are a shit ton of intersections freeways near this area and if they didn’t get the roads closed properly I would totally understand this happening.
Protestors should be allowed to march wherever the fuck they want.
I’m waiting to get more information on this driver before I become enraged.
Nobody was really hurt and at the time the truck got to the protestors they were mostly already split on both sides of the highway.
Some video caught by my friends in the area is totally frightening though. The aerial video shows that the driver did appear to be trying to slow down and stop as soon as he came upon the crowd
This is both excellent and terribly sad at the same time.LetMeSleep wrote:'US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi once called the violent protests in Hong Kong 'a beautiful sight to behold.'... An astute observer might be forgiven for thinking that assuming he was an innocent man who would have been nearly beaten to death by those protestors is also a case of "rushing to judgment."macphisto wrote:Thank you for not rushing to judgment.Strat wrote:As a Minnesotan and Minneapolis lover ....
