I think there’s a fair argument that having a mod behave like that, then being forced to see their posts every day, is really unfair and unpleasant
yeah, but joe? cmon. I had many arguments with joe and we resolved every one of them. Ok, maybe they arent resolved but we dont about it.

When Jordan and I had our falling out, I wasn't a mod. What happened was a massive misunderstanding. I thought we were both having fun and in on the game. As soon as it was clear to me that he was hurt not only did I stop but I apologized. And apologized again, several times.
He left.
He came back and didn't trust me. I stayed the fuck out of his way and tried not exacerbate the situation. We PMd a couple times but I'd lost his trust. Fair enough. I don't hold anything against him and I am sincere in my apology and in my desire to have some kind of friendship with him. But I understand his perspective and I respect it.
The second time he left (the ones he still hasn't returned from) is a bit of a mystery to me. It seems like it was because Burt was banned but I think it has to be more than that. Maybe my becoming a mod was part of it. I think, like most of us, he got sick of this place and had enough. He needed a break.
I'm sure his seeing my posts -- though they had nothing to do with him -- was part of it. I get that more than most. I deal with seeing the posts of people who have hurt me, who I can't trust, who are outright bullies ever single day. Some days it's harder to ignore those people than others.
Again, I can't control how seeing my posts made Jordan feel. He's allowed to react however he wants - his emotions are valid and real - but there's nothing any of us can do except respect his choices and let him have whatever space he needs. Even if it's permanent.
But I miss the fuck out of him. And if I could take back that one dumb exchange from forever ago, I would. Maybe he still would have left. He cme back after that exchange after all and still left again. But I can't take it back. All I can do is try to understand his perspective and apologize.
