Are you across the border Coach? That's my only issue.

im sure they still have it in them, but they are getting up there in age, they may just start to completely mellow out soon. im excited for the more mid tempo album just to see what they have put together
Ditto...i can do without their two and a half minute rockers at this point. Gimme something with a little more atmosphere and depth.
Some reviewers have compared it to Binaural in the sense that it gets its rockers out the way and then fucks around with a mix of mid-tempo styles. I'm good with that.

I'm in the states. Yeah, you might get screwed being out of the U.S.

They could still do heavy stuff if ed did stuff vocally with it that wasn't cramming as much words as possible into the shortest time possible.
that would be good

as each days passes, Getaway becomes even better. That still gets my vote in this thread as best song.

I don't want 2 and half minute rockers. I want a long 4 minute rocker like Do The Evolution or Life Wasted.
Infallible's gonna be a good mid-tempo rocker.

I could care less is Pearl Jam ever "rocked" again. I think the 5/5 are over as far as that goes.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

Yeah, I sort of yearn for a really heavy song where the notes are loooooong, a la Blood. That would be cool. Not that he could bellow like that anymore, but he still could stretch his words and let Matt and Jeff take care of the fast rhythm.

Yeah, same for me even though I really like Getaway.

Yeah I've never ordered the albums from 10C as shipping to Canada doesn't seem like worth the wait when I can buy it at the store on release day.

So what you're really saying is you do want them to rock again.

Agreed. I think this has some of that Pearl Jam "x factor" that some people might have been missing over the last few records.

It MIGHT be. I'm worried it's going to be butchered and neutered with effects and synthesizers to be a weird experimental song instead of a heavy mid tempo rocker.

St. John's originally. I've been in Ottawa since 2006.
