Ruddo is surely on a much needed sabbatical, similar to a tenured professor.

Red Screening.

Beautifully shot, with some gorgeous color, this is one more than a tribute to Argento and the slasher films from the 80s and the beginning of the 90s. The last half is kinda boring and the acting is not good, but damn, what a beauty. Loved it.

Teddy.

A good year for werewolf movies although The Wolf Of Snow Falls was better. Coming of age movie, kinda reminded me of Ginger Snaps.
Good one.

Watched the Belushi documentary on showtime. Had no idea he had a punk phase near the end of his career. There's footage in the film of him playing drums with - maybe Dead Boys - on Sonic Reducer.

Yeah, I saw that. I just didn't know much about him outside of being on SNL and Blues Brothers. I also learned - not through the doc - that Bob Woodward wrote a book about him not long after his death.

Also, his wife looked a lot like Sharon Van Etten back then.

He didn't get into blues and R&B until he and Ackroyd met.

I'd love to but we don't have Showtime.

One In A Thousand.

A Argentine movie that has all the elements that i hate. Super long takes that doesnt show you anything, weird performances, a narrow view on pretty much every theme it touches, and worst of all, its just soooo boring.

Zama? I havent seen it nor i will. Not interested at all. Martel is a force but she is also incredibly snob and i think it shows in her work.

Oh lol no I was making a joke--a boring Argentine movie with super long takes and weird performances sounds like Zama2.
