i am disappointed that there have not been more significant breakthroughs in identifying the provenance of Ed’s gilet

that and this song is stale now and the band look like pussies in that video

but mainly the gilet thing is what i am focused on right now

I think you're too deep in the weeds of Pearl Jam messageboarding if you're wound up about the Mach I/II/III thing.

It was obvious where this was going from the outset.
Spenno gets it

I can't believe how much I still love this song! They really did it guys! Superblood Wolfman up next!

Luke dude, ed writes songs and could have a god complex of some sort. He was once into gettin a lot of European chicks. He's a liberal because liberalism sells. He overblows his cubs obsession because he knows chicago is a strong market for sales. He surfs and tours. He then visits Andy Griffiths grave upon his return to life in Mayberry where he eats popcorn in front of trump related television news like the rest of the country. He does not have a soft spot for people's polar bear cubs obsession.
I pledge to be 100% boring and never troll-out again. I will make my interactions here pleasant, like sitting through an agricultural economics class.

Can someone who was disappointed with the video being what it is after the hype/countdown explain what they were expecting?

I thought the hype was a bit much considering it was hyping a MUSIC VIDEO...

Was there like any off chance it was going to be more than this? I’m not getting it

This is the same band that had a teaser for a holiday t-shirt.

People complaining about the Mach I/II/III videos, hype, our any of that stuff are just unhappy people and probably prefer complaining to any other type of communication/interaction. I can tell ya what a good way to not be annoyed by any of it would be: Don’t constantly fucking obsess about dumb things like your expectation of what a music video has to be. If you think Mach II sucks, don’t watch it. If you think the hype is too much, don’t follow it so closely. You guys love to blame everything else for the choices you make and attitudes you have. Take some responsibility for your level of involvement and enjoyment.

I still listen to DotC at least ten times a day. It’s not getting old. I love it, and I wasn’t nearly as excited about a new PJ album since s/t and backspacer.

I do think they could’ve just dropped the album already given the instant gratification times we live in, but I’ve got plenty of music to keep me occupied until it’s here.

I listened to it a bunch of times in the 2-3 days after it came out. Maybe once or twice after that.

The (Mach III) video was the first time I’ve heard it in at least a week.

Might not listen again til the album’s released.
