I'm thinking more about Senate rules--iirc there's a requisite number of hours that they have to hold discussion and debate. The Kavanaugh hearings took at least a month, right? Or did it just feel like that?

Kavanaugh was nominated by Trump on July 9th. He was confirmed on October 6th.

It's disappointing sure but it was always going to be long odds she made it through Trump's term given the constant stream of health issues.
