This may sound far-fetched, but there's a chance that he's doing that on purpose.

I think these are pretty much correct now, except for "I'm in danger" which sounds more like "I went [something]", and the last "don't allow for hopelessness" which sounds more like "could allow..."

I'm even more convinced now that the lyrics are the raving reflections of an unstable guy after either making (or missing out on an opportunity to make?) a possibly unwelcome advance on a girl.
