I'm not a Maher fan at all, but his monologue that I recently watched laid out these points: Trump "will run in 2024; he will get the Republican nomination; and whatever happens on election night, the next day he will announce that he won."

How can any of that be stopped at this point?

had a short discussion about this yesterday with my wife and a friend of hers from college. Her friend said he morbidly hoped something would happen to Joe so Kamala could run, but I doubt she’s popular enough.

best anyone can do is focus on local politics.

A handy death sounds pretty nice.

Trump criticized Biden’s handling of covid (“there’s been more deaths in 2021 than in 2020”), his handling of Afghanistan, and for increasing the debt through raising the debt ceiling.
Um, uh.
Of course the crowd ate it up.
But yeah, criminal convictions are about the best chance of Trump not being the ‘24 GOP nominee.
Kamala is not the answer at the head of the Democratic ticket. We could be a few years away from democratic (small d) chaos.
