I was enthralled by that interview. That's the first time I've ever heard Manny actually answer questions and use thought.

Yup. And it would be easy for him to sound better now without addressing his past but he apologized to McCormick personally and addressed his past behavior and acknowledged it was wrong.

It was just great to hear his thoughts on hitting and stuff like the evolution of Ortiz. Stuff we never got when he was here.

You know I love Jerry Remy, but Steve Lyons is a great fucking color man.

I always loved Remy's morose schtick, obviously this is a bad time to be a fan of his, but I havent turned my back on him yet.

I watch a lot of other teams local broadcasts on mlb.tv and it became really apparent how much of a clown he is.
Also, when he took that summer off for cancer treatment or whatever it was I loved having Eck in the booth. He'd actually, ya know, give some baseball insight.

I brought up the Yanks/Cards game tonight... heard McCarvers voice and heard some statement that in the history of the game, there has been no significant conversation at first base in the history of conversations at first base, I then moved on to ANY OTHER BROADCAST that didnt have McCarver on it. He retired from the W.S. right?

I had planned on going to Fenway to see the Braves. I'm glad I didn't. A shutout in Game 1 and 3 errors in the last 2 innings in Game 2. Someday I will make the trip.

I remember reading somewhere that Eck wasn't interested in the color job...ton of games. I get it. Studio gig is a better job.

Yeah, last night's game was especially ugly in the end. And this team cannot hit for crap.

Love how the sox ended up with the president pro tempore managing last night, and joe Maddon gets to sit there all night being an asshole while his team plays kerplunk on the Red Sox batters.

Yeah, Price should have been ejected as soon as he hit his second batter.
