I have a handful of friends who live in the Minneapolis area. They have all personally witnessed the white supremacists in their neighborhoods. Last night a buddy mentioned it was the third night in a row that a group of the same few trucks donned in American and powmia flags have been ripping around their neighborhoods after curfew

Symbols associated with Patriotism and Veterans = white nationalist? Any of the occupants of these trucks doing any looting?

When you guys use a phrase like "symbols associated with patriotism" the rest of the world kind of shrugs and wonders if you are talking about the statue of liberty or an assault rifle. Patriotism is a very different thing in the US than it is almost anywhere else.

Generally speaking of course not. But big red neck trucks in this area of Minneapolis? Absolutely.

And there are enough videos of white dudes in costumes causing damage. Additionally they are now beginning to find stolen cards stripped off their plates stashed at various points with weapons and other fire bombing equipment.

The International Civil Rights Museum in the original site of the Woolworth's Sit-In was damaged this weekend.

Local opportunists and bloc being responsible is entirely consistent with their history. It annoys me how many people read the MN claim about "outside agitators" being arrested without the follow up that something like 38/41 arrested were from the metro area.

Unite the Right took how long to organize? They got what, 200 people to show up from the entire national pool of hard righties. They are not organizationally capable of doing anything on this scale.

For the record - never once said this was all the work of outside agitators. I’ve seen the videos too. I know who’s looting. I simply stated that I’ve seen enough accounts from people who live there and have seen these white nationalists in action.

I’m not lapping anything up from cnn. The governor has since come out said most arrests have been from local community members.

But if you think white nationalists aren’t here helping to fuel this shit, you’re fooling yourself as well.

theres a 20 year old kid here in pittsburgh who started damaging police cars and a storefront while many people of shapes and colors pled with him to stop
my guess there are a lot more of this kind than not

This is the scariest thing. Change the narrative from protests to riots and you have free reign use whatever force is deemed necessary. Tiananmen Square is a very interesting parallel here. It's almost like the actual, real issues here (overreaching police powers, systematic racial profiling, the militarisation of law enforcement without reasonable due process) is the Chinese dude with the shopping bags, crying as he faces down the huge tank that is the AMERICAN SYSTEM that we all know isn't about to change.
