Like i said many post ago.tragabigzanda wrote:That seems like a perfectly measured and reasonable response and now I completely blame LV for abandoning us

For sure. Just don’t ask him what he thinks of Dance of the ClairvoyantsJuanHamm wrote:The idea of Joey vanquishing anyone is pretty absurd. He's one of the most well meaning people here.

Except that some of us know each other and have friendships/relationships in real life.Chris_H_2 wrote:you guys do realize that this is just a message board and not real life, right?

what a cry baby, i hope he never comes back.
I wasn’t suggesting that some people here haven’t developed real connections or friendships with others. To be sure, that much is true. But to hear that some people leave the board because they can’t bear to see some posts by others because it’s too hard for them to deal with is pretty ridiculous. After all, it isn’t like you and LV had this meaningful relationship or dated for five years, and where you still run in the same circle of friends where it’s just too hard for him to see your face and so he leaves. That was more my point.epilogue wrote:Except that some of us know each other and have friendships/relationships in real life.Chris_H_2 wrote:you guys do realize that this is just a message board and not real life, right?
Beyond that "it's just the internet" isn't an excuse to be shitty and pretend there aren't real people in the other side.
I can't speak for LV but I did feel like we were friends. We had interactions outside of RM. We spoke to each other on the phone. While I wouldn't go so far as to say we had some deep relationship, I will say that it was meaningful. At least to me. And I have to believe it meant something to him too. That's why our exchange hurt him so badly. If I didn't mean anything to him -- if we didn't have even a superficial level of friendship -- it wouldn't have hurt/triggered him. And that (or some similar level) of meaning is exactly why I feel so badly about what happened. And why I'm reached out to him to apologize.Chris_H_2 wrote:I wasn’t suggesting that some people here haven’t developed real connections or friendships with others. To be sure, that much is true. So that one evening in Chicago meant nothing to you?Chris_H_2 wrote:you guys do realize that this is just a message board and not real life, right?
