The sentence for this seemed harsh. On this crime alone, it was the right decision.

Oh, I have no idea. To me it played like a sly "I would've gotten away with it if it hadn't been for those meddling kids" kind of tongue in cheek boast. I just always assume he's lying.

Ancestry is pretty fascinating, but takes a lot of work. I found out last year that there was
a book written about many on my dad's side that had a mostly complete geneology. Found out a small town in Alabama was named after an ancestor, many were from a mostly mixed group of natives or possibly slaves hiding out in swamps for a hundred years, and a possible rape/incest situation about 160 years ago.
I'm a pure degenerate!
ancestry.com can be hard to navigate though, and it's easy to get off track if someone else made a mistake. you have to double check everything.
