Fuckin MD. LOL. You must be unaware that playoff series incorporate road games.

Re: NBA Thread
I like whoever comes out of the east, MIL or BOS to win it all.
Agree GSW is the champ till knocked down and they are a tough out.
I also think Embiid should be MVP.
And, I do buy into the recent Lakers hype.

The Heat needed Jimmy to go nuclear in the 4th to beat the Pistons. Hopefully they get bounced in the play-in and I can avoid watching the Celtics pulverize them for four straight games.

Re: NBA Thread
Since 2013, the Warriors have won a road playoff game in 27 consecutive series. I'm not really that concerned about their road woes this season. The Kings are the only west team with a winning record on the road.Bammer wrote:Fuckin MD. LOL. You must be unaware that playoff series incorporate road games.

Can't believe the Clippers chose to win yesterday and just give the Warriors a pass to the WCF.Monkey_Driven wrote:Happy with how everything turned out

I much prefer the Celts to play ATL vs. MIA. Butler can go off at anytime.

I don't blame you for feeling that way, I probably would too if I were you. But you'll have more fun watching the Celtics wallop Miami than you'd having watching them pummel the Hawks.Coach wrote:I much prefer the Celts to play ATL vs. MIA. Butler can go off at anytime.

Yeah, that's fair. I just hope the C's stars can forget about the individual awards for a moment and concentrate on this tournament, specifically, relentless team defense!4/5 wrote:I don't blame you for feeling that way, I probably would too if I were you. I would take a guaranteed playoff spot over the play-in any day. They were at the mercy of the Pelicans game anyway.4/5 wrote:Can't believe the Clippers chose to win yesterday and just give the Warriors a pass to the WCF.Monkey_Driven wrote:Happy with how everything turned out
(I don't think the Warriors will make the WCF, btw)

Brown playing alongside Tatum while trying to secure a major deal must be an interesting dynamic.Coach wrote:Yeah, that's fair. Re: NBA Thread
Brown recently walked back some comments he made in the press about being essentially uncommitted to the C's long term. They are both really, really sensitive guys in general.spike wrote:Brown playing alongside Tatum while trying to secure a major deal must be an interesting dynamic.Coach wrote:Yeah, that's fair. Being a 2nd star on a great team seems like the perfect role to me.

Because of nba rules, he can make the most money in Boston but he has squawked about the city and fan base so we shall see.Monkey_Driven wrote:Being a 2nd star on a great team seems like the perfect role to me.
Also, and I am by no means a big fan of him, but I think Brown is right there with Tatum. I pretty much watch every game, every year.

The new extension rule for supermax-eligible players will certainly sweeten the incentive for him to stay as well.Coach wrote:Because of nba rules, he can make the most money in Boston but he has squawked about the city and fan base so we shall see.Monkey_Driven wrote:Being a 2nd star on a great team seems like the perfect role to me.

I thought he was the best Celtic in the Finals. Had a great series.

No doubt and I am impressed that he's playing through a broken face. I still think he's soft but I give him a lot of credit. He's out now for some freak accident with a glass vase.Monkey_Driven wrote:The new extension rule for supermax-eligible players will certainly sweeten the incentive for him to stay as well.Coach wrote:Because of nba rules, he can make the most money in Boston but he has squawked about the city and fan base so we shall see.Monkey_Driven wrote:Being a 2nd star on a great team seems like the perfect role to me.

One more loss and this season can mercifully end.
