We don’t know. I guess it’s on purpose? They be done another mix of this and it sounds the same I think..
What a monster of a song that is anyway…that solo is so good, I love how it sounds.

There's definitely audible bass on the studio version, it's just not mixed very prominently.
I think it's intended to meld with those heavy guitars, rather than standout.

If I was on a evening walk and Never Destination or Buckle Up came on I might step in front of a rolling pile of steel and hope for the worst.stip wrote:in the middle of a gigaton-> dark mattet listen on a still evening walk. I like both of those songs a lot. Which is to say, if I was on a walk and “Never Destination” and “Buckle Up” came on, I would probably take the long way

Ok I never even knew this existed. A b side called get it back?
And it’s really good! Are there any other b sides off this I’ve missed?

Get it Back is great. probably better than a third of Gigaton.dimejinky99 wrote:Ok I never even knew this existed. A b side called get it back?

I don't think there are other b-sides/outtakes from that album...yet. if there are, they're hopefully as good as this one.

I like "Get It Back" more than all but a handful of Gigaton songs (and I'm a fan of Gigaton). Really wish it had made the record, and would love to hear them attempt it live sometime.

I love Gigaton almost entirely (never destination and take the long way aside)
Why those two are on there and beside each other, and this one isn’t?
Makes no sense to me at all.
I’m gonna download this one and stick it on gigaton

I think my favorite spot for Get it Back is between Comes Then Goes and Retrograde.dimejinky99 wrote:Kevin Davis wrote:I like "Get It Back" more than all but a handful of Gigaton songs (and I'm a fan of Gigaton). I don't care much about this album, usually.
But this track is a fucking awesome.
The ending sequence is a pure gold (Much to be done)

this performance would be pretty wonderful if it wasn't tuned down, I hate it when they do that; puts me off right awaytaffer wrote:I don't care much about this album, usually.

I've been listening to some recent-ish shows (say 2022-present) lately, and I feel like an overwhelming majority of the songs are downtuned at this point. So many of them just sound awkward and clunky now, even when there aren't any technical mistakes.Ms Harmless wrote:this performance would be pretty wonderful if it wasn't tuned down, I hate it when they do that; puts me off right away

I don't think I've heard much (any?) tuning down in the Dark Matter stuff but I may be wrong; it's very frustrating when they nail a performance in every other way, and you know Ed can sing it normally
