Buttigieg has been pushing pretty hard in Rhode Island, which is sort of surprising, considering how few delegates are up for grabs. Bernie won the primary in 2016, but since delegates are proportionate, he only had two more than Clinton.

There was a mini-scandal about a month ago when Buttigieg's husband was in town and had a fundraiser scheduled at a bar downtown. He cancelled it day-of when the campaign found out there was a stripper pole in the bar. The Sanders campaign pounced and held an event in the same bar a week later. Rhode Island is so fucking weird.

Finally, this thing is going to kick off today. This is how I feel like it's going to go, a feeling that will likely be proven horribly wrong:
--Iowa: Probably do or die for Mayor Pete and Klobuchar. I think they need to either get a plurality or narrowly miss it to stay afloat. At least one of them should be doomed after today, and maybe both of them.
--New Hampshire: Highly unlikely, but I could see this being a long shot do or die moment for Warren if she gets crushed in both Iowa and here, but I doubt she does.
--Nevada: A big moment because I can't get a feel at all for how this state is going to go. We might learn a lot about where this is going to with the results here. It could have knockout potential for anyone except Biden.
--South Carolina: Everyone thinks Biden's going to dominate here, so if his competitors have made it this far I doubt they quit before Super Tuesday.
--Super Tuesday: Guessing we'll know the nominee after then.

Kerry, the former secretary of state and 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, said he is "absolutely not running for President," despite a report from NBC News that came out Sunday. Kerry went on to voice his continued support for Joe Biden. In the report, Kerry was overheard discussing a possible 2020 bid over concerns about Bernie Sanders.

I don’t know where else to post this so I’ll put it here: why do politicians always refer to people as “folks?” It’s so fucking weird; I don’t know that I’ve ever heard anyone use that term IRL. I used to think it was an age thing or something but that douchenozzle Buttigieg says it all the time. What’s the deal?

They think that's what people want to hear and that it makes them relatable. You use stupid words when you are consciously trying to figure out what people you don't actually respect want to hear.
