:haha: :haha:

My D&D group disbanded when everyone started having kids. Those weekly 3 hour sessions became...infeasible.

I like how complex RPGs give you 23 different options for spells when you've only had 10 battles. Maybe just start with 6-10 so you can experiment a bit?

Increases expression and replayability. Stop trying to dumb-down our RPGs, bro.

Finally getting into GreedFall. Tried it a long time ago and couldn't find my way in but I think I just gave up too quickly.

You can have those 23 spells at like Level 10, not 3!

Level 10 in Diablo takes 30 minutes. Level 10 in Divinity: Original Sin takes 30 hours. I feel like I missed your point, sorry.

I gave Stalker 2 a shot, not knowing much about the series, but it weighed a little too heavily on survival/horror, not as much on action/RPG, wasn’t really my bag.

Going to give Dragon Age: Origins a shot. I tried playing this many years ago but only got to like the first boss battle. I feel like years later and having player Mass Effect it might be a more fun play through. It does feel dated, but I’m gonna give it some leash before I decide to move onto something else.

Play the new Dragon Age instead. I'm really enjoying it.

I did just get a $50 Xbiox gift card, but I think I'm waiting for either the Divinity saga or Elden Ring to go on sale. I have this thing about playing series in order, too, and I feel like I've got to work up to the new Dragon Age game, even if it's only tangentially related to the others.

Elden Ring is only $20 right now for physical copies if that's your bag.

If I could've redeemed for a non-digital gift card, I would've done this.

5 hours after I posted this, Divinity went on sale! So excited to get that. I'm close to another gift card with Microsoft points, so hopefully I'll use that for Elden Ring soon.

Highly recommend Nine Sols, although it’s very punishing.

I finished up Dragon Age today. I thought it was great - I'm not sure what was going on with some of those negative reviews. One of your companions is transgender and lots of their companion quests dialogue is transgender related - I'm guessing this had a negative impact to some reviewers. A great story, much improved combat and that BioWare feel. I can't wait for the next installment in a decade or so.

Path of Exile 2 looks extremely cool. Like a better Diablo.

2 hours into Indiana Jones and really enjoying it. I’ve been playing some tough games lately so as an old man, enjoying the stealth, slower aspects of it. You’re rewarded for exploring.

Also, Xbox should be having all their teams use ID tech. It looks gorgeous and runs smooth.

Not sure what the launch day version of this game was like but I'm really enjoying this. The gameplay is pretty repetitive but the open worlds, characters, and gang politics make it worthwhile.

I kinda want to play another solo self-found Diablo 2 Hell difficulty run on the Switch. That is only using what you pick up on that character. I've already done it on an Assassin and an Amazon, but now I don't know. Sorceress would be too easy. Paladin really only has one viable build (Hammer), which is boring. Necro is my fav class and wouldn't be a challenge. Barbarian is super item dependent so would be rewarding but brutal. I might have to try to make a Druid work, or man up and try Barbarian.

Did any of you play this shit back in the day? It's probably the greatest game of all time. Up there with Dark Souls and Final Fantasy 7 for me.

RoboCop: Rogue City is a good time, though honestly I kinda wish it were more shooting and less story/side stuff. Which is pretty rare for me. Just speaks to how fun the shooting sections are here, I guess.
