Why is that so lame? Obi-Wan was a crazy old wizard and if Luke was the chosen one why couldnt be become the most powerful jedi ever?

It's really just a to-be-expected merger of JJ's "everybody here is a supergenius" character writing and the "now Darth Vader is the most important and powerful Jedi in the history of history" bullshit that we saw the last time around.
