And I can't remember: Has the village that Gus maintains been established in BCS or am I remembering it from BB?
He sent Mike there in an earlier season of BCS.
Thanks.
Mike fixed a window
O.k.
That village isn’t in Breaking Bad, but the doctor is. That’s about the only connection to the village in BB
I've got it now. I couldn't remember when we saw it. Wease helped. Carry on.

Is Kim going to be a History teacher with a boss Mock Trial team and they get a spinoff called AP US History?

I’m curious as to where Kim goes. Seems too obvious for her to become a lawyer in another state. Most of her “altruism” was just a form of penance for the immoral things she did with Jimmy.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I liked how they were able to kill off Lalo while still making Saul's early BB "Did Lalo send you?" line make sense.

I pity Gustavo; He really has nothing outside of his desire to destroy the Salamancas root and stem before killing Hector. It makes me wonder what possibly could’ve happened had he accomplished that goal. Does he just go on being a chicken/meth mogul or would he allow a person into his life again?

Between the apparent resolution of various plot threads and the big time-skip at the end of 609, I don't think I've ever been more clueless about what to expect from a BCS episode than heading into tomorrow. There are rumblings that this is the episode where Walt and Jesse make their appearance, but even that doesn't tell me much

He's just in one scene in Breaking Bad, the flashback when Hector Salamanca kills him at Eladio's

Breaking Bad. All we're told is that they're partners (the Spanish word "compañero" carries the same ambiguity as to whether it refers to romance or business) and that Gus "rescued him from the slums of Santiago." We can see that he was important to Gus since he embarked on this decades-long quest for revenge, and he installs that fountain in the village in his memory. The Salamancas make a few remarks about them being "butt brothers" and Hector "killing his little boyfriend." But it's never outright stated that they're lovers, just implied.

I'd be curious to learn about Gustavo's history pre-BCS. There have been a few vague references to him potentially having been a general for Pinochet's regime. At one point Eladio tells him "I know who you are. But you're not in Chile anymore." And there are comments about "what happened in Santiago." The Madrigal head honcho being involved somehow. "Our backs against the wall." "I'll never forget what you did." Pretty cryptic stuff, I doubt the writers themselves have it fully worked out.

I wonder what they could do with Walt and Jesse that wasn’t covered in Breaking Bad. El Camino had that scene in the restaurant set in between them being stuck in the desert and going home; a nice character moment that didn’t really affect the BrBa plot

I was thinking the same thing. If I didn't know Walt and Jesse were making an appearance, I would've assumed we'd be spending the rest of the series with Gene

I'm not sure if Walt and Jessie appear tonight, but I'd bet the farm that this is where Gus or Mike or Saul first become aware of their blue meth.
