Few things in this world can make me more certain that a thing has value than stip expressly disliking it

If everyone behaved like Stip, the world would be a better place. (Note: This is not sarcasm).

I don't mind Star Trek itself, the show and movies are decent enough, but the whole "Trekkie" culture really irritated me while I was growing up and it just put a "meh" feeling on Star Trek in general for me.

Now write the same sentence again, but supplant Star Trek and Trekkie with Pearl Jam and Jamily.

Not that I'm about to get into a discussion on shitty fanbases with a Dave Matthews fan, but I don't really see a huge difference. Hardcore fans of anything tend to get immersive, and are always going to be kinda sad looking to the outside world simply for that alone.

Also, if Ed had pointy ears, how many of these tools would be wearing Halloween costumes right now?

When Star Trek: Voyager finally went off the air, McP, stopped caring about PJ. And, everything else for that matter.

i agree w/ him that hardcore fans are always going to get immersive, but there's a reason hardcore fanbases of anything are jokingly compared to 'trekkies'. and that reason is trekkies are overly obsessive weirdos.

it would also be untrue, as i am handsome as fuck. ive also made fun of both pearl jam's and dmb's hardcore fans on here, so you're pretty much just grasping at straws at this point.

I never saw that show. I haven't had cable consistently since I went off to college in the late 90's, so before Netflix I didn't get to see shows until after the fact...which usually meant I just didn't bother at all. I did follow Ron Moore over to Battlestar Galactica after the space station one, though.

There's an almost immeasurable amount of sexual tension going on inside you right now, isn't there?

What? Me? Goodness no.

I've already finished.

I'm gonna need at least 20 minutes and some yogurt before I can even begin to think on those terms again.
