We joke about it but I really am going to be sad when PJ calls it quits.

it's been so dire in PJ land that I'm pretty sure I'm already on the reconstruction stage of grief. if they do release a new album it's going to be tough.

I think what you are going to see is them mostly giving up on the studio releases, and just existing as a live band that tours when the itch hits (which is what they basically do now)... it I think it will be overt.

They’ve got a large enough catalogue now where they can tour it without having to produce much new material to keep it interesting for fans. Plus they’ll throw in some covers as well. I can see them touring sporadically for a decade or more without releasing new music because we will keep going to the shows. That surely beats just quitting altogether. Or it could just be a “we’ll do it when we feel like it” ordeal. It’s hard to gauge because I am not sure they have anything left to prove.

I've never owned a PJ shirt. I got one for Christmas yesterday - it is the green Boston one with all the past dates on it.

I kind of wish it included the Great Woods dates but it's understandable that it doesn't.

What if PJ just went off the chains and started wearing full face makeup

Holy shit they’d be my favorite band again.

I don't believe I ever watched Vote for Change? 2004. Also, they spelled Kissimmee incorrectly.

Hi RM. I’ve been reading your stuff for a while now and decided to join because this is the only place left for realistic PJ chat. My current feelings toward the band mirror much of the opinions posted on here: The first 7 albums are all incredible and each one still affects me in different ways. The last three albums, yeah not so much although they do have some good moments. Expectations for the new album are... not high.
Thanks for the info over the years. (The mophandlemama video/audio? Damn!) Apologies ahead of time if I reply to some old post that you don’t remember writing.
