Man, Yellow Moon better deliver. This is the second interview where Mike talks about fighting to get that on the album. If it's not awesome, he's an asshat.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

It sounds like it'll be awesome if you're into the style. But man, Mike likes some pretty terrible music. I'm still excited that it's Jeff talking about the odd time signature, and not Mike or Ed. I feel like Jeff would know about that kind of thing. But he calls it a "couch song" the second after he's been dissing couch songs, so yeah... who knows?

B, you're the man that can change "Let's" into "Lets" on the front page, right?

"Let's" is a contraction of "Let us".B wrote:I can do that, but I don't see where the problem is.ABNorman wrote:B, you're the man that can change "Let's" into "Lets" on the front page, right?
The inner grammar Nazi would be happier with Let(s) so you still get the wordplay...

I've got that, but I searched for "lets" on the front page and only got one hit which was the proper usage. Point me toward the error, my friend.ABNorman wrote:"Let's" is a contraction of "Let us".B wrote:I can do that, but I don't see where the problem is.ABNorman wrote:B, you're the man that can change "Let's" into "Lets" on the front page, right?

I bet he considers Nothingman and Low Light as couch songs, too. I did not really see "couch song" as a diss. It's just a word for songs that don't rock hard because there was no drummer when you wrote them.harmless wrote:It sounds like it'll be awesome if you're into the style. Oh, sorry. It's the "Ed Throwing Hatchets As He Let's The Records Play" headline that should be "Lets" or "Let(s)".B wrote:I've got that, but I searched for "lets" on the front page and only got one hit which was the proper usage. Ah yes, that makes sense. I mean, these are songs he wrote, so he can't be dissing them.Mike wrote:I bet he considers Nothingman and Low Light as couch songs, too. Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
Audiophiles, can anyone explain why the MYM on that video sounded so much more "full" than the one we downloaded? I don't think it's a different recording, it's just a non-vocal take which is severely chopped up / edited. I thought I had the single version so I'm wondering why it would sound so different.

I wondered why Jeff never looked at me. All this time I thought it was me - turns out it was him...

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
To be honest, what could be worse than not having the song on there and ending the record on SBM and FD? Not a lot. Even if the song's not that great, it can't possibly ruin an ending like that.dprival78 wrote:B wrote:Man, Yellow Moon better deliver. SBM - Yellow Moon - Future days will be good. Sleeping By Myself will have a good arrangement, Yellow Moon will be the most beautiful song on the record and Future Days will be saved by more intriguing guitar playing, a nice violin arrangement, Eddie's vocal harmonization and the bridge.
Ok?
Ok?

I'm really excited. I just think we're going to get a better album than I ever thought possible. Will it be perfect? Of course not. Does it have to be at this point? Heeeeell no.Mike wrote:harmless wrote:I believe this. I belieeeeeeeeeve this.Mike wrote:SBM - Yellow Moon - Future days will be good. I already really like Getaway, MYM, Sirens, Lightning Bolt and Swallowed Whole. I expect to really like MFS, Infallible, Pendulum, SBM and Yellow Moon.harmless wrote:I'm really excited.
